Enrolling with Earth Stoke 'N Fire Pottery Studio and Artist Retreat is as simple as clicking on the ENROLLMENT link, signing up for a user account and password and enrolling in ORIE100C - Orientation 101. Because Orientation 101 is a free class and required by all students who enroll with Earth Stoke 'N Fire Pottery Studio, you will be assigned a student advisor upon enrollment to assist you in enrolling in future courses.


New students who wish to take a single class to see if the pottery field is what they are interested in and wish to pursue, and those students who are seasoned potters who wish to enroll in a class to brush up on skills or learn a new skill should enroll in individual classes. Although a bit more expensive than packaged classes, this type of enrollment only includes the necessary topics the student wishes to cover. Individual classes focus on a specific area in pottery and are listed from novice to advance in that order.

Earth Stoke 'N Fire Pottery Studio and Artist Retreat also offers a credit to the package classes for those students who later wish to enroll in a package class. All enrollment fees will be credited toward the payment of the package. This way, students are not at risk when enrolling in individual courses should they choose to enroll in a package later.


Class packages are mini packages which include all classes from a specific topic. For instance, if you are only interested in taking classes on glaze, then you can enroll in the glaze package and learn only that information which pertains to glaze.

This type of enrollment is set up for those students who have previous experience in pottery but lack a specific area to complete their knowledge in ceramics. Class packages are listed just above the individual classes by topic. Class packages are not available for financing, however, like the individual classes; credit toward the payment of a complete package will be applied should you decide to enroll in a complete package.


The final type of enrollment is the complete package programs. There are two programs in which to enroll and each includes all classes except the Ceramic Mold Class. The difference in the two is the cost, due to the number of history classes offered in each. Some students are interested in the hands on areas of pottery and the history of pottery in detail, while other who wish to focus in a specific medium, such as Japanese ware, or Indian ware, can select the package that includes only a few history courses that they can choose from. This saves time and money and allows the student to choose the course package that is right for them.



Financing is available for any student who enroll in Pottery Package POTS00A1, POTS00A2, POTS00B1, POTS00B2, POTS00C1 or POTS00C2. Current students may elect to finance their education at anytime during their enrollment. Discounts will be given to current student for classes already completed.


If you enroll in a class via the class web server, you will be directed to the payment gateway page where you can pay for your class at the time of enrollment. If you enroll in any pottery package, including mini packages, you will also be directed to the payment gateway page to pay for your class.

If you wish to finance your classes, please do not enroll through the class web server. Please go to our main web site at Earth Stoke 'N Fire Pottery Studio and Artist Retreat and click on Enroll to enroll with financing options. Fill out all information on the enrollment form to enroll and apply for financing through Earth Stoke 'N Fire Pottery Studio. Failure to complete information may result in a rejection of your application.

For financed classes, once your enrollment has been received and approved, an invoice will be sent to you via email. Students should make payment upon receipt of the invoice. Students who wish to pay through PayPal will be billed on the first Monday of each month following the date of application.

Students who wish to pay by personal or business check must allow ten (10) days for check clearance and should mail their payment in a timely manner. Payment due dates are the same as for those students making payments through PayPal. An invoice will be sent fifteen (15) days prior to the due date of the students account.

Upon receipt of the first payment, the student will be contacted with class access information.


Payments not received by the 5th day of the payment due date will incur a late fee of $5.00. Payments not made within 10 days of the due date will initiate failure to pay status and access to class material and lectures will be denied until payment is made. All scheduled payments and late fees must be made current to allow students to resume access.

Financed classes must be paid on time to continue to receive 0% APR. Accounts delinquent over 21 days will convert to 12.99% APR on the account balance. Accounts over 60 days delinquent will incure in-house collections. Accounts over 90 days will be turned over for collections.


Due to the nature of this program and the type of educational material provided to complete the classes, cancellation of classes follow a strict cancellation policy. Students may cancel the contract and receive full refund if written request is made prior to the student signing in to the class web server. Once a student signs in, a log of the sign in is recorded and this is our verification that you have accessed the classroom. Once the classroom is accessed, there are no full refunds given.


Due to the nature of this program, partial refunds may be made at the discretion of Earth Stoke 'N Fire Pottery Studio. Once the student has accessed the classroom, no full refunds are given. If a student determines they must withdraw from a class, the student must follow the terms in the Leave of Absence and Resume Class Policy.

Partial refunds are given only to those students enrolled in Class Packages or Complete Pottery Courses. No refunds, partial or in full will be given to individual classes.

    Refunds for Class Packages
  • Partial refunds for class packages will include only those classes in which the student has not accessed the class material and has made enough payments that the class is paid for.
  • The amount refunded will include fee for the class, less 10% administration fee.
    Refunds for Complete Package Programs
    ONLY Issued as Follows
  • The student must have a critical issue that prevents the student from attending class.
  • Student must send a written request to withdraw from the Complete Pottery Course.
  • Student will receive an acknowledgement via email within 24 hours.
  • Refund will be issued upon calculation of money due the student, usually within 7-10 working days.
  • Calculation of the refund is as follows: The total amount of payments received by student, less classes fees for those classes accessed, less $30.00 cancellation fee and $50.00 finance feel if applicable and less 10% administration fee will be calculated as the total refund due the student.

NOTE: The administration fee is charged for handling paperwork and updating student records. This fee is donated to the Rose Myrtle Lester - Young Adult Artist Scholarship Program. This fund is used to assist young potters in attending the Earth Stone 'N Fire Pottery Studio and Artist Retreat. There is no refund for any finance fee.


Earth Stoke 'N Fire Pottery Studio and Artist Retreat understands that lifestyles often change and create situations where students are unable to complete their scheduled classes. Students may request in writing for a leave of absence for any or all classes should the need arise.

Should a student need to take a leave of absence from class, notification must be made in writing as soon as possible. Classes will be terminated until the student is able to resume classes. Students must write their instructor prior to resuming classes as access to classes will have been terminated to make room for new students.

Financed classes will require continued payment. See Late Payments and Fees.

All students, whether enrolled in a single class or a class package will have their efforts recorded as grades. Once a student completes a class, they receive a certificate of completion and any blueprints that were listed during enrollment. The blueprints are a special gift to say "Thank You" for enrolling with ESF. Blueprints are designed to give the student a head start on setting up their studio. And for those students who enroll and complete a complete pottery package, a diploma is presented.
